38th and Chicago

For the past few years, 38th and Chicago has quietly been cultivating some of the best kept secrets in Minneapolis. We’re lucky to have some pretty incredible neighbors on our little corner. Check them out.

Blue Ox Coffee Company. Their slogan is “Damned Good Coffee.” They’re not lying.

CANDO.  The Central Area Neighborhood Development Organization does great stuff at 38th and Chicago, and in the surrounding neighborhood.

The Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center. Whether you’re just discovering the world of fire arts or are an accomplished artisan, the Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center provides access to an array of specialized services that can’t be found elsewhere in the Twin Cities.

Covet Consign and Design. Gently used home decor and furniture for the urban eclectic space. Custom framing services available.

Smoke in the Pit BBQ.  It’s actually not fair how good this stuff tastes. Owners Dwight and Ivy are officially the nicest people in the world.

The Third Place Gallery. Local photographer Wing Young Huie showcases his work, as well as other incredible artists from Minneapolis and beyond.

4 Points Body Gallery. Awesome tattoos from amazing artists and all-around nice guys and gals. I sport quite a bit of ink from the shop, myself. Highly recommended.
